Colloquially known as the $-in-Shield series due to the logo on the reverse, this series was issued in 1908 by the Suhling Company of Chicago and included both Cubs and White Sox players. It is likely that the Suhling Company was an offshoot or affiliate of the Suhling & Koehn company which published postcards in Chicago (including 1906 team cards of the Cubs and White Sox), sporting a logo with an 'S' and a 'K' on their reverse
